The Aloe Valley Meander is the south eastern gateway to the Magaliesberg Biosphere.  It is located in the buffer to the core area of the Biosphere Reserve.

The Biosphere offers glimpses into the long unwritten history of southern Africa and the early development of mankind. The historic and archaeological treasures are significant to all South Africans whether they trace their origins to Tswana, Nguni, Boer or British.

Traces of this history is to be found along the Aloe Valley Meander.  Various places of local historic and cultural interest are protected by landowners.
